Could this be a case of 'eyes bigger then stomach' syndrome?
Chickadees are so dainty looking.
This, DaveKay tells me, is a Cowbird. Don't have any of these in my neighborhood.

Momma and babies from this spring. Geese are on government property and DaveKay had to take the picture through a fence lest he get in hot water for trespassing. He wanted everyone to know that the geese are NOT fenced in/captive!
