Things were awfully quiet in the yard this morning -- I think that our Cooper's hawk was somewhere in the neighborhood! It gets quiet like that whenever he/she is around -- lookin' for breakfast! When it leaves the area, it seems that the smaller birds are the first ones to return. Probably because they're smaller and quicker in flight. Anyway, things are back to normal!

First on the list is our titmouse from yesterday

then Mr. Black showing off his plush winter coat!

Now this is one interesting lookin bird! LOL

early morning dawn feeders

DaveKay said these were the 'younger squirrel gang' !

Mr Jay. Just awesome.

An early morning shot shows evidence of an early "feed". (Notice the shelter DaveKay has built over the corn holder for the squirrels. Such a thoughtful guy our DaveKay is.)

We conclude with two more pics of my little buddies, the house sparrows.

DaveKay once wrote me that his true calling was to be wildlife photographer, I think he's right!
So take a peek our your window and see WHAT'S IN YOUR BACKYARD ??
